Birthday Fun!

Today the girls had the opportunity to go to their friend Dylan's birthday party at Build-a-Bear! Melody was really excited even before she found out she was actually going to get to build a bear. The girls have an over abundance of stuffed animals so that's been a place we've always tried to avoid, but if some one else wants to give them one who am I to say no :) They had so much fun and Dana, Dylan's mom, got so many cute pictures I had to share!

Here's cute Dylan! She and Katie are in sunbeams together and they are so funny! One minute they're teasing each other mercilessly and the next minute they're best friends. Silly girls!

Melody named her bear snuggles, then she changed to fluffles, then back to snuggles. She was being really funny about how important it was to pick the RIGHT name!

Katie wanted to name her's Katie, but I talked her out of it lol! She decided on princess. Surprise, surprise!

The build-a-bear girls made putting them together so much fun for the kids! They each got two hearts. The first one they rubbed on their heart to give it their love, then they gave it a kiss and they each got to put one in Dylan's bunny. Then they did the same and put it in their animal. Katie took her wish making very seriously. After that they gave their animal a bath. As you can see from the picture below Melody was being such a kind and loving little girl. I can't believe she got busted rolling her eyes at me on camera!! Totally keeping that one for posterity!

Next they went to pick out their clothes. Katie went with Daddy and it took her all of two seconds to spot the tangled dress and crown and she was done! She refused shoes since tangled didn't wear shoes. We didn't get a picture of Melody's cute bear because, again, she was being such a happy girl!

After that they played a cute singing/dancing game which Katie really got into lol! Melody once again opted out. To be fair she gets kinda shy about singing and dancing in front of other people.

Finally they marched their animals to the front so they could get their very own 'condo' to travel home in.

Dana wanted a picture of all the kids together and Melody wasn't interested. Jared offered her a few select threats and she went. Not terribly willingly though lol! After all was said and done they had a great time. I think the madness of all the kids put Mellie a bit on edge, but she still had fun. She's probably the only person in this family MORE done with this pregnancy than I am!
